Pooh lamp for baby nurseryChoosing the right lighting for your baby’s nursery  is important.  The right light will complement the rest of the decor of the room – giving it an inviting and comforting atmosphere.

Ceiling lights are great for gloomy days and nights when you need the room fully lit. But, if your little one is almost asleep in your arms and you want to go to the crib to put baby down, you don’t want to wake him/her up with a bright light. But you also do not want to risk of tripping and falling because you leave the light off and can’t see well.

So it is nice to have an alternate light. Unless, of course, your ceiling light is on a green elephant lamp for nurserydimmer switch, in which case you can keep the lighting very low when you need to get
around the nursery without waking your baby up.

  • Place the light far enough away from the crib so that when your baby is a little older, they will not be able to reach it and hurt themselves.
  • Do have it in a place that is easy for you to reach.
  • Remember that if you are carrying your baby, you will only have one hand available to turn the light on with – so keep that in mind when choosing where to place your lamp.

Baby nursery lamps

Placed on a dresser or bookcase or somewhere else in the room, they can give you enough light to see – even giving you enough light to read a book with while you are feeding your baby at night, without being too bright.

There are many nice options for lamps for your nursery. You can match the theme of your nursery or you can keep your western lamp for nurserylamp plain. If you don’t have a lot of decorations in your room, you can make a lamp like this add some color and design.

If the room you are using for your nursery is small, then one lamp like this will be plenty.  But if you have a large room, you may want to consider two lamps – one for by the changing area and one for by the chair you will be using for feeding and rocking your little one.

But there are a lot of really fun night lights that are available that project stars onto the ceiling like the Cloud b Twilight Constellation Night Light pictured on the left.
